See where your retirement savings are heading
Answer a few questions about you and β if you like β your spouse, add your Social Security estimate and every account you save into, and this builds a year-by-year projection through retirement. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is kept behind your back: the whole thing runs on your device, and the only copy that outlives this tab is the file you choose to save.
- You and a spouse β names, dates of birth and the age each of you plans to retire. The spouse is optional and can be added or removed at any time.
- Social Security β enter the benefit shown for your full retirement age and the age you plan to claim; the early-claim reduction and delayed credits are worked out for you.
- Every account β 401(k), Roth, IRA, HSA, annuity, brokerage, savings and CDs, for either spouse or jointly, each with its own balance, yearly contribution and expected return.
- Inflation β set the rate you expect and every future balance is also shown in today's dollars, with a matching Social Security COLA.
- An accounts grid β balances, share of the portfolio, contributions, returns and the projected value of each account on the day you retire.
- Your plan is never stored β no account, no upload, no server-side copy. Your plan is held in memory while you work, and Save project is the only thing that writes it down β straight to your own device. Open project loads it back. The only thing this site records is an anonymous count of which features get used; open Options (β, top right) to turn it off.
